The Blog is Back & Better Than Ever

Hi All,

If you are reading this, you're too late (JK , but first off thanks if you even took the time to open this!)

You might know over the past couple of years I would write blogs for a week or so, stop and then pick it up again a few weeks later (it's like wanting to get in shape, but never seeing any progress so you quit). I told myself the next time that I started blogging again I was going to make sure that I did it the correct way (had a name, made the time to write blogs, had the time to take pictures, understood how to properly market my blog, and understood how to properly build a website and maintain it).

There are PLENTY of people that have blogs, but outsource for website edits, marketing tools, SEM, SEO, analyzing analytics, and seriously so much more I can't even think of. I on the other hand, am thankful enough to have a few years of experience working in digital marketing (social media posting, FB & Insta ads, Google analytics and basic website building), but everything else I have taught myself watching endless amounts of Youtube videos or reading "How To" articles by other bloggers and entrepreneurs.

I want to cheers and thank the girls out there that have made blogging a career and taken the time to share personal stories, funny moments, life changing events, recipes, helpful tips, best spots to eat & drink, best products to use, and my favorite... store sales (seriously have gotten so many good deals at Nordstrom and JCrew because of these girls). It has given me the push and motivation I needed to do it for myself.

Anywho, my intentions of this blog is to not only challenge myself because I think I am capable of creating brand, but to do it differently and to stay true to who I am (the lame girl who takes fake shots & goes to sleep at 9PM, binge watching "Friends" and reciting every word). I'm aware if you claim to be self made and offer insight to an audience saying that you want to help them, YET are advertising gummy candies that are going to magically grow your hair 10 inches over night, people are going to absolutely call bullshit and never believe a word you say.

To quickly describe myself, I'm easy going, IF you want to label me I am basic as they come (I love Starbucks, puppies & yoga pants), but I am also somewhat tom-boyish (a little background for you: my family is ALL guys), I am down to eat hot dogs and drink bud lights at Fenway and watch a baseball game, play pranks, genuinely enjoy reading Barstool (you're missing out if you don't) and will argue with you for an hour at a Cheesecake Factory because you tried telling me Steph Curry could be the "Greatest of All Time" when he still has plenty of years left to play (true story, and was about 2 years ago FYI).

Bottom Line, I am not saying that girls like this don't exist, I just think it's extremely hard to find. I know I have a unique perspective on life where I NEED to have the cutest black ripped jeans to wear out, but would also 110% say no to brunch on a Sunday if it meant missing a playoff football game (I also think my boyfriend and dad would disown me), and always find a way to make the simplest tasks into an absolute nightmare, while always finding humor in my misfortunes (sorry, Starbucks for spilling so many coffees on your floor).

I'm hoping my blog will allow girls to find humor about the dumb things we over analyze for a million hours (sorry, not sorry), get some helpful life hacks, maybe learn thing or two about sports and find some great recommendations on Netflix shows to binge, rosé to drink, at home fitness workouts, and the best margarita recipe.

I know this is going to to take time and hard work, and I also know some of my blogs will be less than perfect, but I am willing to give it a try!

Hope you stay tuned on this long journey, its going to be chaotic and crazy so buckle up, and get ready for it...

PS. Please reach out with questions, advice, or recommendations!

- S.Mantos
